| Even though I know it sounds like an old "I read Playboy for the articles" line, I have to admit that I find the most compelling aspect of Boris' work to be the expressions of his subjects. This body is tight and blossoming and innocently erotic - as are all his other flowers, but in the faces you find their identities. Adriane, for example, always seems a little resentful to me,. The confident bend of her arm, the little arrogant jut of her hip - all of that dissolves in the mistrust of her eyes. |
